TWIZEL HOLIDAY HOMES (2016) LTD

Booking Process:

When making a booking on our website the process is as follows:

1) Your booking request and details are forwarded to the office at Twizel Holiday Homes.

2) We work chronologically through each booking request. Each booking will be screened for suitabilityand availability and we will only process the booking once we are satisfied all criteria have been met.

3) An email with an invoice outlining all costs associated with your booking will be sent providing details of how you can make your payment. Confirmations will only be sent upon receipt of payment.

4) Should your booking be rejected due to unavailability or other reasons you will be advised. There is always a possibility that someone may book prior to you – especially if you are using our website. Please note we operate on a “first come, first served” basis so please be aware that your booking is not a certainty until we have sent you a confirmation.
If you are booking within a short time frame (particularly within 24 hours of intended arrival) we strongly recommend you contact the office directly on (03) 4350 655 to check on the validity of your booking before proceeding on your journey.

What to bring:

All houses are fully furnished. A starter pack which includes a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, soap and toilet paper is supplied. You will need to bring your own sheets, towels and pillowcases (or hire from us as below). All other bedding, utensils and house hold items are provided.

 

Linen Hire:

$20.00 (incl.GST) per person (includes sheets, pillow cases, towels and face cloths).

Beds are made up and ready for guest arrival.

 

Bond Required:

A bond may be required when a booking is made. This is at the discretion of management. The value of the bond is determined by the circumstances of the booking party. This is refundable once the property has been checked on departure and has been left as it was found including cleaning.

 

Booking Fee:

A non refundable booking fee of $15.00 (incl. GST) is charged for all bookings made. This will be payable on confirmation of your booking as arranged with management.

 

Barbeques:

Any home listed with a BBQ will not have a gas bottle provided unless otherwise stated. Twizel Holiday Homes hire bottles at a rate of $5 plus GST per nights stay. This will need to be arranged prior to your arrival. You may choose to bring your own gas bottle if you so wish. Any BBQ used by a tenant is required to be cleaned properly prior to departure. BBQ’s are inspected after every tenant and if you fail to clean the BBQ after its use, you will be charged a $35 plus GST cleaning fee. Please note, not all properties have a BBQ available so please enquire.

 

Cleaning:

Unless stated otherwise the price quoted does not include cleaning by Twizel Holiday Homes. The tenant must leave the house clean and tidy for the next tenant. We will inspect the home as you depart and reserve the right to charge you for a clean if this is not done to our satisfaction. If you feel that you will be unable to clean the home or have no desire to be cleaning during your stay, please advise us and we will arrange to have it cleaned for you for an extra charge. Charges do vary and are dependent on the size of the home so please enquire.

 

Rubbish:

Rubbish is to be sorted into the correct bins as per the Mackenzie District Council rubbish disposal rules.

Occupancy:

Please do not exceed the maximum number of occupants. Pitching tents is not permitted unless otherwise arranged with Twizel Holiday Homes.

Minimum night limitations may apply to event weekends, long weekends or school holiday periods.

Please enquire with Twizel Holiday Homes if necessary.

 

Over 20 years of age:

It is our company policy to prohibit bookings made for groups of individuals who are under 20 years of age (please note: this does not include families with children under 20). Proof of age may be requested from any individual at any time and those unable to comply will be asked to vacate. Twizel Holiday Homes also reserves the right to ask for a photo copy of your Drivers License and or a photo copy of your credit card for security reasons.

 

Pets:

Many of Twizel Holiday Homes properties will not allow pets. It is essential for health reasons (i.e. allergies) that this is complied with. But please enquire as we do have some homes that are pet friendly.

 

Smoking:

Smoking is prohibited in all of Twizel Holiday Homes properties.

 

Damage:

The tenant is liable for damage to any property or contents of the property incurred during their stay. Please inspect the property and report any damage immediately to Twizel Holiday Homes upon arrival. The tenant will be required to sign a form upon arrival that states they accept full responsibility for any charges for the home during their stay. It will also acknowledge that the tenant is personally liable for payment for any damage to the home or property both malicious or accidental by themselves or any of their guests and that any remaining balance can be charged to their credit card or invoiced directly to them should a credit card not be provided.

 

Noise:

Noisy parties or gatherings are not permitted. We ask that you respect the neighbours. If complaints are received and management is required to attend the incident a $50 plus GST call out fee will be charged and the tenant will be asked to quieten down. Upon receipt of further complaints Twizel Holiday Homes reserves the right to evict the tenants from the property.

 

Check In/Out:

When planning your trip please make note that the check in time is any time after 2pm or earlier by arrangement. If you anticipate a late arrival (e.g. after 9pm) please arrange this with Twizel Holiday Homes prior to your arrival. Check out time is 11am. Should you wish to have a late check out you will need to contact Twizel Holiday Homes to enquire as to whether this is possible. This will only be possible at the discretion of management and could incur a fee of $20 plus GST per hour.

 

Payment:

Once your booking is completed on the secure server RMS Booking Cloud, you will be transferred to Payment Express which is a level 1 certified PCI-DSS compliant provider to complete your payment. All transactions are in New Zealand Dollars.

A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the accommodation is required to secure your booking. This will also include the bond for the property rented (if applied) and the non refundable booking fee. Should the booking be only for one night or within 30 days of the intended arrival date then payment in full is required. A booking confirmation will be forwarded to you upon confirmation of availability and receipt of payment.

Deposit payment is required within seven days of confirmation of a reservation request. Twizel Holiday Homes reserve the right to rebook a home should this not be paid on time. Should you require extra time or wish to cancel a booking please contact us immediately.

We will send you our bank account details once booking is confirmed and deposit will need to be paid as required. The balance of your account will need to be within 30 days of occupancy of the property. We do allow pre-arranged payment plans if required, please enquire for more information.

In the event of an account not being paid when due, Twizel Holiday Homes reserve the right to refer the account to a debt collection agency and add all costs of collection to that account.

 

Privacy: 

Twizel Holiday Homes is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. We will never sell, lease, give or provide your information to any other third party.

 

Cancellations and Alterations:

If you wish to cancel your bookings for any reason 21 days or more prior to arrival date you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of $25 plus GST.

If you wish to cancel within 21 days of arrival date, you will be liable for payment of the full period of time originally booked unless the same home is able to be re-let for the same period. An administration fee of $25 plus GST will still apply if a refund is made.

Should you choose to shorten the length of your stay or reduce the amount of persons within 21 days of your arrival date you will still be liable for the full period and numbers of persons originally booked. Please choose your dates and numbers carefully.

Transferring a confirmed booking for one home to another may incur a $25 plus GST administration fee.

Please select your home carefully. Please note transferring a booking is only permitted 21 days or more prior to the arrival date.

All bookings are subject to cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances including the sale of a property, long term letting or other events outside Twizel Holiday Homes control. If your booking is cancelled we will endeavour to book you into an equivalent home, however we take no responsibility if this is not possible.

Any existing deposit/full payments may be either put towards a new booking or refunded in full.

 

Lost Property:

While every care will be taken to retrieve lost items, Twizel Holiday Homes will not be held accountable or responsible for items lost or left behind by tenants. Twizel Holiday Homes reserves the right to charge a collecting fee for any items left behind by the tenant. Items will be held for a period of two months before being disposed of.

 

Faults:

Twizel Holiday Homes do not guarantee that the products and services that are listed in any of the homes will be continuous or fault free. Twizel Holiday Homes will endeavour to repair/replace any faulty item but given the limited services available in the town this may not always be immediately possible. Events beyond our control, such as poor weather, power cuts or unforeseen electronic breakdowns, do not give the tenant the automatic entitlement to a discount unless such event has prevented the tenant from being able to safely occupy the property altogether and Twizel Holiday Homes are unable to relocate the tenant to a property of equal size and standard.

 

Changing These Terms and Conditions and Giving Notice:

Twizel Holiday Homes may change these terms and conditions, by changing or removing existing terms and conditions or adding new ones, at any time. The change applies from the time it is published on our website. If we need to give you any notice, we can do this by emailing you at the last email address you have provided us. You are deemed to have received the email at the time the email leaves our server.

 

General:

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Twizel Holiday Homes.

Twizel Holiday Homes failure or delay in exercising or enforcing any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

If any provision of these terms and conditions are found by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the Court should endeavour to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these terms remain in full force and effect.
